Clarke County Superintendent Publishes 90-Day Entry Plan

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Monday, July 6th, 2026

Clarke County School District Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Scott released this week an overview of her 90-day entry plan that will guide her immediate work following her transition from Interim Superintendent to the full-time position.

Dr. Scott served as Interim Superintendent during the 2025-26 school year and was officially appointed to the role in a full-time capacity by the Clarke County Board of Education last month. July 1 was the first official day of her contract.

Dr. Scott’s 90-day plan has three primary focus areas:

  • Ensuring stability and continuity in instructional focus, student safety, and operational excellence

  • Partnering with the Board of Education to strengthen governance and transparency

  • Engaging students, families, staff, and community partners to ensure the district’s work is supporting the three anchoring goals of its five-year strategic plan: Thriving Students, Optimized Talent, and Connected Culture.

“While I know this district well, I also believe that effective leadership requires intentional reflection and structured alignment,” said Dr. Scott. “The next 90 days are only the beginning of this next chapter. Together, we will build on our strengths, confront our challenges honestly, and ensure that every child in Clarke County Schools has the opportunity not just to succeed but to thrive.”
