Eight local high school robotics teams competed in the Northeast Georgia FIRST Tech Challenge  (FTC) Regional Robotics Tournament this past week in at the Empower College and Career Center in Jefferson, Georgia. With support from our local Caterpillar plant in Bogart, these eight teams from  Athens Academy, Clarke Central, Oconee County High School, and North Oconee High School competed  in a 29-team tournament all day Saturday, February 5. This “Caterpillar League” successfully advanced  four teams to the Georgia FTC State Championship in Gainesville, Friday and Saturday, February 18-19.
