Industry Innovators and Pioneers to be Featured at 2016 Georgia Technology Summit

The Technology Association of Georgia announced today its speaker line-up of industry pioneers for the 2016 Georgia Technology Summit, which will be held on March 17th at the Cobb Galleria.
 
The theme for this year’s Summit is “Innovation Adventures” and the event boasts a packed agenda filled with leading pioneers and innovators. Cox Enterprises Chair, James C. Kennedy will be inducted into the Technology Hall of Fame of Georgia and noted businessman and philanthropist Arthur M. Blank, will be honored with TAG’s prestigious “Captain of Innovation” award.
 
Additionally three keynoters will address Summit attendees:

-Kevin Ashton - visionary technologist who is the co-founder of the Auto-ID Center at MIT and author of “How to Fly a Horse: The Secret History of Creation, Invention, and Discovery”

-Vice Admiral Ted Branch - 65th Director of U.S. Naval Intelligence who supervises the information warfare domain and naval cyber security.

-Bob Picciano- Senior Vice President of IBM Analytics and who led IBM’s acquisition of Atlanta’s The Weather Company.

Another summit highlight will include the announcement of the winners of the Global Payments FinApps Partywhich is a hackathon competition simultaneously hosted in Atlanta and London.
 
The annual TAG State of the Industry Report will also be released at the summit and 40 new companies will be named to TAG’s Top 40/Top 10 Innovative Companies in Georgia.  
 
The 2016 Georgia Technology Summit is expected to draw a crowd of more than 1,000 C-level executives, entrepreneurs, technology professionals and academia to celebrate and recognize Georgia’s technology community.
