Development Authority Looking at Downtown Athens Parking Rates

In a move aimed at shifting longer-term downtown Athens parking into one of two Downtown Athens Parking Services decks to make more on-street parking available to customers of downtown businesses, the Athens Downtown Development Authority is considering two changes to the downtown parking fee structure.
On the one hand, the ADDA is taking a look at boosting the hourly rate for downtown parking from 75 cents to $1, while on the other hand, the authority is proposing lowering the hourly rate for the College Avenue and Washington Street decks from $1.50 to $1.
