Amerigroup Georgia Celebrates Community Partners During Statewide Breakfast Series

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Thursday, March 10th, 2016

Amerigroup Community Care of Georgiawill host a series of special breakfast events around the State to celebrate local organizations and community leaders who serve Medicaid members and PeachCare for Kids. This year, Amerigroup celebrates a decade of service in Georgia by bringing together local organizations and community partners for an uplifting morning highlighted by inspiring stories from local leaders, talent performances and networking opportunities with other working professionals.

The seven-stop community breakfast series, which launches on Thursday, March 10 in Savannah, brings together a collection of guest speakers who work directly with Georgia’s most vulnerable population. Each stop will also include a performance from local-area musical talent and discussions on how to better serve the community.

“Amerigroup has been working in Georgia for a decade to address the needs and barriers our members face every day,” said Fran Gary, plan president, Amerigroup Georgia. “We started the Community Breakfast series to thank local organizations, our partners and providers who help improve their local communities. These events also serve as open forums to encourage honest dialogue about what is working and what still needs to be done.”
