  • Athens Regional Announces New Head of Health System

    Dr. Charles Peck has been appointed CEO and President of Athens Regional Health System effective March 15, 2015. Dr. Peck has been serving as Interim CEO since September 2014. In December, the Board of Trustees appointed a CEO Steering Committee composed of physicians, nursing, administration, and board members, and engaged a national search firm to assist in the CEO selection process.

    The University of Georgia will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Delta Hall, its new permanent residential facility located in Washington, D.C., on Feb. 26th. Speakers for the event include Sen. Johnny Isakson; Tad Hutcheson, vice president of community affairs for Delta Air Lines; UGA President Jere W. Morehead; UGA Foundation Chair John P. Spalding; and Torie Ness, a political science major and Washington Semester Program participant.
