Athens-Born Barberitos Opens New Atlanta Highway Restaurant

Barberitos Southwestern Grille & Burrito Bar will officially opened its newest Athens restaurant at 3755 Atlanta Highway on Monday. The Athens-born brand will mark the opening with special offers beginning on opening day and continuing through Saturday, October 3, 2026.
The new restaurant expands Barberitos’ presence in the community where the brand was founded, bringing its fresh, made-to-order Southwestern menu to a convenient location serving nearby residents, businesses, University of Georgia students and faculty, and families throughout the Atlanta Highway corridor.
Founded in Athens, Barberitos has grown throughout the Southeast while maintaining strong ties to its hometown. The Atlanta Highway restaurant represents continued investment in the community where the Barberitos story began.

Location and Community Impact
The 3755 Atlanta Highway location sits in a high-traffic corridor serving some of the most active residential, commercial, and student neighborhoods in Athens. The restaurant is easily accessible from multiple parts of the city and is positioned to serve a broad cross-section of the Athens community, from UGA students and faculty to families and local professionals.

The new Barberitos will offer the full made-to-order Southwestern menu, including burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, and salads. Every item is fully customizable, with guests choosing their own proteins, toppings, salsas, and sauces.
