Project Safe, a non-profit organization that provides a service for those victimized by domestic violence, received a donation of $25,000 recently from the Atlanta Gas Light Foundation.

Employees of the gas provider also volunteered to work at the organization's thrift store by sorting donated items and preparing the store for customers.

Project Safe provides a number of services including crisis intervention, shelter, and education for people victimized by domestic violence in the community. The thrift store allows its clients to shop at no cost so their families have access to clothing and household items, according to the organization.
