The University of Georgia earned an A+ grade overall in Niche’s 2027 Best Colleges rankings, indicating that UGA ranks among the top 2.5% of colleges scored by Niche.

The university received particularly strong marks in several areas: grades of A+ for academics, the quality of its professors, the future readiness of students to enter the job market, campus dining, student life and best campus. Each of these grades place UGA in the 97th percentile or higher.

Among public universities, UGA ranked 13th out of 586 institutions in America.

“It is gratifying to see the University of Georgia earn such strong marks in the latest Niche rankings,” said UGA President Jere W. Morehead. “This recognition reflects the talent and dedication of our faculty, staff and students and affirms our commitment to providing an outstanding educational experience that prepares our graduates for successful careers and lives.”

Several programs also received superior rankings. UGA ranked No. 7 in the nation for the best accounting and finance programs, No. 8 for the best colleges for business, No. 6 for sports management, No. 6 for communications and No. 7 for agricultural sciences.

Niche’s Best Colleges ranking weighs academic quality most heavily followed by value and faculty quality. The rankings also consider feedback from student surveys.

This latest accolade follows several other notable rankings. UGA recently earned high marks in The Princeton Review’s Best Colleges for 2027 rankings, in which UGA ranked No. 12 among the top 50 best value public universities.

UGA also placed No. 8 for best alumni networks, No. 10 for access to financial aid and No. 16 for internship placement, according to The Princeton Review.

In Money’s most recent rankings, UGA earned 4.5 out of 5 stars, with the publication commending the university’s affordability, access to financial aid, academic rigor and strong student outcomes.
