Resident Sought for Partial Term Position on Board of Elections by Fri., Sept. 11

The Athens-Clarke County Unified Government (ACCGov) is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the following term on an important policy-making board.

  • One position on the Board of Elections for a partial term expiring on December 31, 2028.

The deadline for receiving applications is Friday, September 11, 2026. Applicants must be Athens-Clarke County residents.

Applications can be filled out online at www.accgov.com/boards or obtained from the Clerk of Commission's Office in Room 204 of City Hall, 301 College Avenue. 

The Mayor and Commission is tentatively scheduled to interview applicants during the afternoon/evening of Monday, September 21, 2026. Any applicants who will be out of town or otherwise unavailable on the board interview date should indicate so on their application. Applicants who are selected for an interview will receive a notification of their interview day, time, and location.

The Mayor and Commission is tentatively scheduled to make the appointment at the Regular Session meeting on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
