Georgia MBA Repeats as a Top 10 Public Program in Bloomberg Businessweek Ranking
Thursday, September 17th, 2026
The University of Georgia Terry College of Business matched its best national ranking among full-time MBA programs — at No. 23 in the U.S. — according to Bloomberg Businessweek’s 2026-27 survey of the Best Business Schools.
Bloomberg’s ranking once again placed the Georgia MBA among the top 10 public MBA programs in the U.S., landing at No. 8.
“The Full-Time MBA at Terry is such a tight-knit community, yet we also have the reach and resources of a much larger program,” said Dean Santanu Chatterjee. “Our students are surrounded by classmates who want to see each other succeed, faculty and staff who get to know them personally, with access to a Terry network of more than 85,000 alumni. It’s a rare combination and big part of what makes the Georgia MBA distinctive.”
Graduating students, recent alumni and companies that recruit MBA students were the groups surveyed in the Bloomberg Businessweek ranking. The list is based on scores in four key areas, with 65 top-tier MBA programs in the U.S. ranked on compensation, learning, networking and entrepreneurship. As part of the rankings methodology, schools contribute employment and compensation data.
The largest portion of Bloomberg’s methodology is its “compensation index.” Survey data on the salaries and bonuses of MBA alumni and new graduates amounted to slightly more than 40% of the ranking’s weight. For Terry’s MBA alumni and graduates, their salaries and bonuses increased each of the past three years, improving the program’s compensation ranking from 35th in 2024 to 26th nationally this past year.
Additional data from the Class of 2025 reported that 93% of Terry’s Full-Time MBA students received job offers consistent with their career aspirations within three months of graduation.
The Georgia MBA also ranked 12th overall in Bloomberg’s learning index and 16th nationally for the reach of its alumni network, a strong indication of the college’s instructional emphasis on strategic thinking and human-centered judgment, and opportunities for team-led collaboration and applied learning.
“We are a relationship-driven MBA program, where expert faculty and staff know our students by name and invest time and effort into their individual growth,” said Jason Matthews, director of Terry’s Full-Time MBA and Master of Science in Business Analytics programs. “Our students don’t just develop relationships in the classroom. They build them with recruiters, with alumni and employers through consulting projects, and when they meet executives who are leading companies and shaping our fastest-growing markets.”
Earlier this year, the Georgia MBA received its highest-ever ranking from U.S. News & World Report, rising four spots to No. 25 nationally and 10th among public MBA programs. And the Financial Times rated the program the No. 1 value for the money worldwide for the third straight year and No. 11 among public programs in the U.S.
