Following a successful spring event, the Clarke County School District is once again pleased to partner with more than a dozen local restaurants in Athens-Clarke County to help support the Gifted Savings financial education program for high school seniors in CCSD.

The second “Dining for Dividends” community “percentage day” will be held Thursday, September 17, and a portion of sales at each participating restaurant during their hours of business will be donated to help fund $1,000 investment portfolios for the Class of 2028 at Cedar Shoals, Clarke Central, and Classic City high schools.

Gifted Savings provides every graduating senior with a $1,000 investment portfolio that they can take full control of once they turn 18 and successfully complete all of their online learning modules in the program. Last year, CCSD became the first school district nationally to implement the program districtwide with the Class of 2026 as the inaugural graduating class. Investment portfolios in the amount of $1,000 have already been fully funded for every member of the Class of 2027 through more than $400,000 in community member donations and a matching $400,000 gift from an anonymous donor.
