Barberitos Now Open on Atlanta Highway as Eighth Athens Location

The newest Athens-area Barberitos opened Monday, Sept. 28, at 3755 Atlanta Hwy., marking the eighth location for the Athens-founded Southwestern restaurant chain in its hometown.
The location is owned by David Weeks, a longtime local restaurateur who opened the first Barberitos franchise around 2003 and has since grown his restaurant portfolio to more than 20 locations across three brands, including nine Barberitos locations, eight Dunkin' restaurants and four Newk's Eatery locations.
