AT&T* added a new cell site to expand 5G coverage and capacity across Royston, helping residents, businesses and public safety on FirstNet® get more from their mobile devices.

A new site in Royston boosts coverage along Royston Bypass (Highway 17) and Grace Baptist Church Road.

These enhancements also support first responders and the extended public safety community on FirstNet, Built with AT&T – America’s public safety network – by bringing Band 14 spectrum to the area. We look at Band 14 as public safety’s VIP lane, delivering dedicated connectivity when needed. When not in use by FirstNet subscribers, AT&T customers can enjoy Band 14’s added coverage and capacity.

Created by the U.S. Congress after 9/11 and built by AT&T in public-private partnership with the FirstNet Authority, FirstNet is the only nationwide communications platform purpose-built for public safety.
