Terry College Undergraduate Researchers Shine in Business Research and Beyond
Wednesday, April 29th, 2026
Many business students focus on the bottom line, but a growing cohort of Terry College students is taking on academic research projects in business, data science, and other fields across campus.
This year, 43 Terry College of Business students participated in research with mentors from departments across campus through UGA’s Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities Symposium. An additional 23 students worked with Terry College mentors through the Terry Opportunities for Undergraduate Research program.
Each student’s undergraduate research experience is unique, but the critical and creative thinking skills they build will stay with them no matter where their career takes them. “The undergraduate research experience sharpens critical thinking skills and offers students the opportunity to explore and gain a deep understanding of a topic that they’re passionate about,” said Terry College Dean Santanu Chatterjee. “Whether these students head to Wall Street or a PhD program, they will leave Terry with the ability to ask the right questions and find the data to answer them.”
