An AI tool that selects the best model for each prompt won first place at the latest University of Georgia Entrepreneurship Program’s Idea Accelerator Demo Day.
Switch, a platform created by UGA mechanical engineering major Gabriel Gutierrez, speeds up the process by selecting the optimal model to address each prompt. Gutierrez won $2,500 for his venture during the final Idea Accelerator Demo Day of the 2025-26 school year, held April 8 at Studio 225.
In addition to Switch, the judges recognized GEAN, a platform that connects university study abroad data to a fundraising CRM to build the alumni community. The platform created by Ryan Thornton (AB ’90), a UGA social work graduate student, took second place. Third place went to computer science major Zhengyao Liew, whose platform Prosen provides a database of résumés and projects that lands internships.
Also presenting were:
- BioBreath, an alternative treatment strategy for drug-resistant respiratory infections, was created by mechanical engineering PhD student Mofolu Popoola (MS ’25).
- LegUp, a platform that connects students to mentors who landed their dream internship, was created by mechanical engineering student Kyler Williams.
- Mental Meter, which bridges the gap between therapists and patients to improve care and prevent crises, was created by Terry economics major Alina Abraham.
