Registration is now open for the Athens Community Career Academy's Summer Career Exploration Program this summer for all rising ninth-grade students in CCSD! Students will have the opportunity to participate in three-day camps (June 15-17) introducing several of the CTAE pathways they can begin taking courses in as early as 10th grade.

All camps are free, and transportation (upon request), breakfast, and lunch will be provided. Apply for one of the eight available camps by May 1 at bit.ly/ccsdsummerprograms. Available Camps and Descriptions:

• Advanced Manufacturing and Welding: Do you like building and designing? Come to our summer introduction class and learn the basics of woodworking, 3D printing, metalworking, and robotics.
• Entertainment, Sports, and Event Management: Are you a party person? Love organizing and creating experiences? Explore the Entertainment and Event Management pathway in this hands-on intro class!
• Cosmetology: Do you like to style hair? Do you want to learn more about cosmetology? Come to our summer program and learn the basics of cosmetology in our state-of-the-art lab!
• Culinary Arts: Do you like to cook and plan menus? Have you ever wanted to learn about the restaurant and hospitality industry? Come learn in our state-of-the-art kitchen!
• Film and Broadcast Production: Lights, Camera, Action! Sign up to learn scriptwriting and how to operate a camera, direct, and much more.
• Healthcare: Come learn about careers in healthcare, key body systems, and perform hands-on experiments. Utilize some "tools of the trade" and learn how to take vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and respiratory rate.
• Fire/EMT: Ready to make a difference? Join our summer program to learn basic firefighting skills, tackle exciting challenges, and be part of a team that saves lives—are you ready for the adventure?
• Teaching as a Profession: Inspire Young Minds! Join the Teaching as a Profession summer program to gain hands-on experience working with children, mastering classroom management, and creating fun, engaging activities.
