Athens Academy Students Chosen for Governor’s Honors Program

Athens Academy is pleased to announce that juniors Andrew Caldwell and Eva Saraf have been chosen to participate in the 2026 Governor’s Honors Program. Andrew will study mathematics and Eva will study communicative arts.

Over 4,200 students were nominated to the Governors Honors Program and nearly 1,500 of them participated in this year’s state interview/audition process. The intensive summer program will take place in June and July at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. Athens Academy is also proud of our two additional semifinalists, Sumit Alexander (chemistry) and Noam Thrift (computer science).
