Thursday, February 26th, 2026
The 2026 revised and updated edition of the Athens-Clarke County Communication Department’s ACC from A to Z: A Guide to the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government and Community Services is now available to the public in both print and electronic formats. The guide contains contact information and descriptions for over 700 entries related to government programs and services, as well as community organizations.
Arranged alphabetically by subject, the guide has been produced for over two decades by the Communications Department based largely on the kinds of questions that the office regularly receives by phone, email, or social media. Information in the guide is reviewed and revised annually for accuracy.
Printed copies, while supplies last, are currently available at the following locations:
- Multimodal Transportation Center publication racks under outdoor covered area
- Courthouse publication rack near the elevators on the first floor
- Downtown publication racks
- City Hall / Communications Department
Printed copies will also be available in limited quantities at additional ACCGov facilities and programs and through the Communications Department's ACCGov to You booth during tabling set ups at public events. A digital PDF copy is available to download at www.accgov.com/atoz.
Along with the A to Z subject listings, the guide also includes:
- contact information for local, state, and federal elected officials who represent Athens-Clarke County;

The cover for the 2026 edition of the ACC from A to Z Guide features artwork of the City Hall dome created by the Cotton Patch Quilters. Part of the Athens community since 1985, the guild was organized to promote an interest in quilting among its members and the broader community, to preserve and ensure the continuation of the quilting art, and to contribute to the community through charitable and service projects. Over the past 40 years, members have provided a variety of quilts to local service and non-profit organizations, hosted biennial quilt shows open to the public, and participated in numerous regional events. Learn more about the Cotton Patch Quilters at www.cpquilters.org.
The cover artwork is the tenth in the annual Athens Artist Cover Series versions of the ACC from A to Z Guide to showcase a different local artist’s interpretation of City Hall in their respective media. Covers for previous editions were created by watercolor artist Jamie Calkin, mosaic artist Randy Sanders of Corazon Mosaics, embroidery artist Rachel Winters of Flora Embroidery, chalk artist Marvella Castaneda, confectionary artist Ashley King, digital artist Jared Brown, linoleum print/mixed-media artist Abigail West, ceramic artist Juana Gnecco, and illustrator Sam Watson.
