The bachelor’s program at the University of Georgia Terry College of Business is ranked a top 10 public program in the latest national survey of undergraduate business schools from U.S. News & World Report.
Terry’s undergraduate program ranked in the top 20 among all business schools for the first time, up four spots to No. 19. Georgia’s flagship business school, with undergraduate enrollment exceeding 9,300 students, topped its previous best ranking from U.S. News when it was ranked 21st overall in 2023. Among public business schools, Terry’s undergraduate program is ranked No. 9 — also a record best — up from 13th last year.
“We’ve seen the reputation of the Terry College of Business reach unprecedented heights over the past decade,” said Interim Dean Santanu Chatterjee. “Rankings like U.S. News reflect the key aspects of our instructional mission, and at the Terry College those include an exceptionally strong learning environment, excellent career support and employment rates for our students, and outstanding work by our faculty and staff. We have a collective commitment to excellence across all our programs.”
For the second straight year, every undergraduate major at the Terry College was ranked by U.S. News, with four of the college’s eight majors ranked among the nation’s top 10 public programs in their respective fields. Business analytics, another undergraduate program that is offered as a 12-credit hour “area of emphasis” at Terry, was ranked in the top 25 by U.S. News and No. 11 among public business schools.

Terry’s Real Estate program ranked No. 4 overall (No. 2 public). Real Estate has averaged a top 5 national ranking over the past 25 years of the U.S. News survey. Management Information Systems (No. 9 public and No. 13 overall) and Finance (No. 10 public and No. 26 overall) are Terry’s other top 10 public programs.
Management ranked No. 12 among public business schools, which is the program’s highest public program ranking by U.S. News. The college’s undergraduate programs in Marketing and Accounting were both ranked among the top 20 public programs in their fields. Marketing ranked No. 12 among public business schools, and Accounting was ranked No. 15. The John Munro Godfrey, Sr. Department of Economics received a top 30 public program ranking for the third straight year. More than 250 undergraduate economics programs were ranked by U.S. News, the largest specialty ranking by far.
The annual ranking of undergraduate business programs by U.S. News & World Report is based on a reputational survey of deans and senior faculty at peer institutions accredited by AACSB International. Only 6% of the world’s business schools have achieved AACSB accreditation.
In addition to the U.S. News rankings, Niche.com, which ranks and reviews colleges and K-12 schools, recently ranked the Terry College as one of its top 10 “Best Colleges for Business in America.” In its 2026 survey, Niche ranked Terry’s undergraduate program No. 7 overall and No. 1 among public universities for business. Niche also ranked Terry’s Accounting and Finance programs No. 8 overall and No. 3 among public universities.
U.S. News ranked the University of Georgia among its top 20 public universities, placing No. 19 in a tie with Purdue University. UGA and Georgia Tech are the only public universities from the state of Georgia to be ranked in the top 20. Georgia and California are the only two states to have more than one institution in the top 20. U.S. News & World Report released the 2026 edition of its Best Colleges rankings on September 23, 2025.
