Athens Academy has been honored with the Strength of America Award from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition for the eighteenth consecutive year.
The strength and conditioning program at Athens Academy, led by Coach Bryan Pulliam, was assessed across four key areas: supervision, education, program, and facilities. The award is scheduled to be presented at the NSCA’s National Conference Awards Banquet on July 19, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Eric McMahon, the NSCA’s Coaching and Sport Science Program Manager, commended Athens Academy, stating, “I am proud to have Athens Academy as part of our ongoing mission to improve the education and programs for all our youth.” The NSCA provides clear guidelines for all high schools.
The Strength of America Award acknowledges high schools that exemplify the highest standards in strength and conditioning programs.
