Athens YMCA Launches $9.3 Million Campaign Ahead Of 170th Anniversary

The Athens YMCA is kicking off a $9.3 million capital campaign to celebrate its 168th anniversary. It is one of the 10 oldest YMCAs in the country and has already received nearly half of its fundraising goal, with hopes of reaching full funding by December 2027—coinciding with its 170th anniversary.
The campaign includes plans to renovate and expand parts of the facility, including the youth wing. The new spaces will offer resources for children and teens, such as a computer room and areas for personal development.
