Oconee County Board of Education and the Oconee County Board of Commissioner Sign SRO Program Agreement

The Oconee County Board of Education and the Oconee County Board of Commissioners on Wednesday signed an agreement for a School Resource Officers Program for all 12 schools.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by BOE Chairman Michael Ransom, BOC Chairman John Daniell, and Sheriff James Hale during Wednesday’s joint meeting.
“This agreement emphasizes a collaborative effort to prioritize the safety and security of Oconee County students and staff,” Mr. Ransom said. “The Board of Education, the Sheriff’s Office, and the Board of Commissioners are committed to the well-being of our school community. OCS appreciates the collective efforts in fostering an environment where learning, growth, and safety go hand in hand.”
