The application process for AthFest Educates grants is now open. The grants are open to any public school, local nonprofit that serves Clarke County students, government organizations and more. Executive Director Mary Joyce has details.

“Folks can apply for up to $5,000 to fund programs and experiences,” Joyce said. “So, going to the Morton Theatre to see a one-man show about Brown vs the Board of Education, also funds equipment. And then also professional development, this is something that’s so hard for Clarke County School District teachers to get, is that funding to go to a conference, to learn a new style of arts education.”
