The Consolidated Plan is a five-year plan that includes a community needs assessment, a resource review and a gaps analysis. This plan is required by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) to help communities determine where Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships funding may fill the gap for development of affordable housing, economic development, public services, public facilities and improvements.
HCD will review and consider all relevant feedback received by June 23, before submitting the proposed goals for discussion by the Mayor & Commission in the August/September 2024 agenda cycle.
In June 2024, HCD will provide several opportunities for residents of Athens-Clarke County (ACC) to learn about and provide feedback on the proposed goals for the FY26-30 Consolidated Plan. Please visit www.accgov.com/hcd for details on these opportunities.
