The Heart and Soul Gala, the region’s premier black-tie fundraiser, is set to make a spectacular return on Feb. 15, 2025. This highly anticipated event will celebrate St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital’s 10 th anniversary, commemorating a decade of outstanding community service and quality healthcare.

Hosted at the Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, the gala promises an evening of elegance and philanthropy. Attendees will have the opportunity to contribute to the continued expansion of hospital services, which have been vital to the greater Greene County region, especially during challenging times.

Over the past decade, St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital has achieved significant milestones and spearheaded transformative healthcare advancements. The hospital has become a cornerstone of health and wellness, continuously adapting to meet the evolving needs of the community.

“The community support for our gala makes it possible for our hospital to offer services rarely found in
communities our size,” said Dr. Art Torsiglieri, Chair of the St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Foundation Board.
“Continuous fundraising is essential to keep up with medical advances, ensuring our hospital can
continue to deliver quality care for many years to come.”

The Heart and Soul Gala committee, comprising dedicated local community members, has already begun preparations to make the event a memorable night. "We are excited to start planning this area’s most anticipated black-tie event. It will be a grand celebration, with surprises along the way" said Riezl Baker, Chair of the Heart and Soul Committee, who has been involved since the inaugural gala in 2013.

Proceeds from the gala will directly enhance the hospital's mission to elevate the standard of care
provided to the community. "This year's gala is not just a celebration of past achievements but also a critical step toward future advancements," Baker added.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for those who wish to support the event. Save the date for an
unforgettable evening of community and celebration. Further details about the event will be announced
