Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is proud to host the inaugural 2024 live FIN FIT (Financially Fit) event, "Fearlessly Fundraising for Small Businesses," on Thursday, April 4th, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at Dalton State University. This event, open to all Georgians, and offers a continental breakfast for all attendees.

In an effort to empower Georgians to begin the challenge of starting and sustaining profitable businesses, Secretary Raffensperger invites you to join our live event. Expert panelists will guide discussions on fearlessly raising capital for small businesses and explain the nuances of the Invest Georgia Exemption (IGE), a powerful resource for capital-raising in Georgia. Our workshop segment will address setting fundraising goals, preparing effective fundraising packages, critical considerations before acceptance, and maintaining fruitful investor relationships. Participants will receive a complimentary workbook for hands-on guidance.

The event will be skillfully moderated by Donna Lowry, featuring esteemed panelists including Marguerite Pressley Davis, Founder & CEO of Finance Savvy CEO®, Tyler Hudson, Head Coach and Founder of Shankly Elite Training, LLC, Linden Jackson, America's Financial Wellbeing Coach at Operation HOPE, Peter Matthews, Area Advisor at UGA SBDA, and Adam Shull, SVP and Chief Credit Officer at North Georgia National Bank.

FIN FIT, a financial empowerment seminar series initiated by Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, is a cornerstone of his comprehensive financial literacy campaign, administered through the Securities and Charities divisions of the Office of the Secretary of State. These no-cost programs feature industry leaders discussing invaluable resources to enhance attendees' financial acumen, understanding of financial dynamics, and strategies for wealth accumulation.
