St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital is excited to announce the return of its popular Wellness Walk & 5K, scheduled for Saturday, April 20, 2024, at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital, 367 Clear Creek Parkway, Lavonia.

Participants are encouraged to register early at https://www.active.com/lavonia-ga/running/distance-running-races/wellness-walk-and-5k-2024. Pre-registration is $30 through April 10; $35 thereafter. The event is organized by AAA Race Services and is part of the AAA Health, Black Bag and Clover Glove race series. Walkers and runners are welcome. Race the course competitively or walk it for fun and health.

Race-day registration will start at 6:30 a.m., with the 5K walk and run beginning at 7:30 a.m. Awards ceremony will commence at 8:30 a.m. Awards will be presented to the first place overall male and female, first place master's male and female, and first place finishers in 10-year age groups for both male and female participants (10 years and under, 11-19, 20-29, etc., up to 70 and up).

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation, supporting the hospital's mission to be a compassionate and transforming healing presence in the community.
