The Lyndon House Arts Center is pleased to announce the opening of the 49th Juried Exhibition on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.  This year’s juror is Jen Sudul Edwards, Chief Curator and Curator of Contemporary Art at The Mint Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina.  

Jen Sudul Edwards reviewed 722 works of art by 265 Athens area artists.  Of these, Ms. Edwards chose 160 works by 111 local artists. In addition, multiple awards selected by the Juror will be announced on opening day.

Throughout the run of the exhibition, the Lyndon House Arts Center will be hosting artist talks in the galleries Thursday evenings during the month of April.  Those dates are April 4, 11, 18, and 25th. Gallery talks begin at 6:00 pm.

The Lyndon House Arts Center would like to thank the Athens area artists who entered their works for review and for the generous and continued support for this anchor community art event.

All exhibitions are free of charge and open to the public.  Exhibitions are on view during regular gallery hours Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.
