Lyndon House Arts Center Announces 49th Juried Exhibition Call for Artists Submission Days

The Lyndon House Arts Center is pleased to announce the online call for artwork submissions for the 49th Juried Exhibition.  The 49th Juried Exhibition will be selected by Juror Jen Sudul Edwards, Chief Curator and Curator of Contemporary Art at The Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC.

Submissions for the 49th Juried Exhibition will be received only online at ArtCall.org. The call for art submissions will be live from January 4 at 10:00 AM – January 26, at 5:00 PM.  The opportunity to enter artworks for the exhibition will end on January 26 at 5:00 pm. Athens area visual artists, 18 years and older, are welcome to submit up to 3 entries for consideration. An entry fee of $35.00 is required. The Athens area includes the following counties: Clarke, Oconee, Barrow, Greene, Jackson, Madison, Hall, Banks, Franklin, Hart, Elbert, Wilkes, Morgan, Walton and Oglethorpe.

New this year is the 49th Juried Exhibition Application Clinic. This is a drop-in event on January 23, 2024 from 12:00 – 3:00 PM to assist any artist with their submission and the online process for application.

Notification of all artist entries is February 2, 2024, at noon. Artworks selected for the exhibition need to be delivered to the Lyndon House Arts Center on Friday February 9, 10:00 – 4:00 PM and Saturday February 10 from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

The 49th Juried Exhibition opens in the galleries on March 12, 2024 from 6:00  – 8:00 PM  The exhibition will be on view through May 4, 2024.

All exhibitions are free of charge and open to the public.  Exhibitions are on view during regular gallery hours Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.
