Awards Recipients, Initiates Recognized at 2023 Blue Key Awards Banquet

Awards and initiates were recognized at the university’s annual Tucker Dorsey Blue Key Alumni Banquet on Nov. 10 at the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel.
The 2023 Blue Key Service Award was presented to Allison C. Ausband, executive vice president and chief customer experience officer for Delta Air Lines; Judge Lisa Godbey Wood, United States District Court judge for the Southern District of Georgia; and Gov. Brian P. Kemp.
Greg H. Robinson was awarded the 2023 faculty Blue Key Service Award. Robinson is the UGA Foundation Distinguished Professor of Chemistry in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences and serves on the board of the UGA Research Foundation.
The AT&T Student Leadership Award was presented to Benjamin L. Brown and Esther C. Kim. Brown is a fourth-year finance and real estate double major in the Terry College of Business. Kim is a fourth-year public relations student in the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
The Tucker Dorsey Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Ciara A. Mitchell and George H. Moore. Mitchell is a third-year student studying biological engineering in the College of Engineering. Moore is a fourth-year student double majoring in international affairs and political science in the School of Public and International Affairs.
The Richard B. Russell Student Leadership Award was given to Alexander W. Parsons and Jamye N. Thigpen. Parsons is pursuing a medical degree with the AU/UGA Medical Partnership. Thigpen is a third-year biology student in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences.
The 75 Blue Key initiates for 2023-2024 also were recognized during the banquet.
The Blue Key Honor Society is a national organization whose members are committed to leadership in student life, high scholastic achievement, service to others and citizenship. Established in 1924 at the University of Florida, the organization’s third chapter was established at the University of Georgia in 1926.
