Athens Academy is pleased to host its 80’s themed, 39th Annual Spartan 5k race on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 9:00 a.m. The 5k race has a one-mile downhill finish, RFID chip timing and beautiful handmade pottery awards by r. wood studio.

Registration is available here. Runners may register early before Jan. 16 for a $25 fee. After Jan. 16, regular rates are $30 per runner and $75 per family. For family rates, use the downloadable registration form on our website.

The event will also feature the one-mile Spartan Sprint at 10:00 a.m. following the 5k race. Participants are encouraged to dress in 80’s attire, although not required. To be considered for the costume contest and prizes, check in at the T-shirt table prior to the start of the race.
