OCS surpassed the national and state figures in each category as well: English, 23.6 (18.6 national, 20.7 state); Mathematics, 22.9 (19.0, 20.6); Reading: 24.9 (20.1, 22.2); and Science, 24.0 (19.6, 21.2)

The ACT college readiness assessment is a standardized test for high school achievement and college admissions in the United States produced by ACT. All scores are based on 2023 graduates who took the ACT at any point during high school.

“These outstanding ACT scores substantiate years of hard work and dedication in the classroom registered by our students,” Superintendent Jason L. Branch said. “Exceptional outcomes on the local, state, and national stages further confirm that our students are poised for success in their post-secondary experiences. We applaud and celebrate this shared victory with our students, parents, and teachers.”
