Community Development Block Grant Request for Applications and Public Notice of Availability

The Athens-Clarke County Unified Government Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) announces the availability of approximately $1,381,158 in federal funding from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the FY25 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and from reprogrammed funds to support community development activities that build stronger and more resilient communities. Eligible activities may address affordable housing, economic development, public services and public facilities and improvements activities. CDBG applications are accepted annually and awarded on a competitive basis. CDBG funds will be available for FY25 CDBG contracting (July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025) for awarded activities.
HCD will host a virtual meeting to explain how eligible nonprofit organizations may access these federal funds to administer programs that target Athens-Clarke County community development and housing priorities.
