Last month’s Mint Jubilee, hosted by the Piedmont Athens Regional Foundation, raised $145,000 to support the Clay Community Care Clinic.
The event was held at the Eastville Car Museum and featured entertainment from the Hibbs Family Band and Nashville recording artist Hannah Dasher. Nearly 400 people attended the sold-out event to show their support for the clinic, which provides primary and specialty care services to adult patients regardless of their insurance status.
"We are thankful for the generosity of our foundation donors, as well as the many sponsors and community members who made this year’s Mint Jubilee a success," said Steven Dasher, executive director for the Piedmont Athens Regional Foundation. "The enormous support we received through this year's event will help to build a simulation lab in the clinic that Piedmont Athens' medical residents can use."
