James Bates Brannan Groover LLP, a full-service law firm with offices in Macon, Atlanta, and Athens, announces the addition of attorney Sam Kennon to the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Financial Institutions practice groups.

Prior to joining James Bates, Sam gained experience in a wide range of areas including acquisitions, dispositions, development of multi-family residential and commercial real estate, including operating hotels, and representation of lenders and borrowers in real property acquisition, development, and related financing, construction financing, and term financing.

Sam earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2020, after graduating cum laude from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in History in 2017. During law school, he volunteered with the Athens Peer Court, a diversionary alternative to juvenile court.
