The Full-Time MBA program at the University of Georgia Terry College of Business earned its highest ranking ever in the 2023-2024 edition of the U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools.
The Georgia MBA program rose seven spots to No. 31 in the nation. The program topped its previous best ranking from U.S. News when it was ranked 33rd in 2020. Among public business schools, the Georgia MBA is ranked No. 11 – also a record best – up from 16th last year.
“The Full-Time MBA program continues to reach new heights of student success, and its sterling reputation nationally reflects the hard work of everyone associated with the program, from the faculty and career services to students and alumni,” said Dean Ben Ayers. “The prospects for Georgia MBA graduates are brighter than ever, and we are pleased to have the program’s outstanding performance recognized.”
Survey data from the Class of 2022 reported that 98 percent of Full-Time MBA students from the Terry College received job offers consistent with their career aspirations within three months of graduation.
“Our curriculum is market-driven and flexible to provide MBA students with the kind of specialized knowledge that aligns with their career goals,” said Santanu Chatterjee, director of the full-time program and Terry’s associate dean for diversity, international and master’s programs. “And we continue to enrich our experiential learning opportunities to prepare our students to be leaders by helping them apply what they’re learning and then learn by doing.”
In addition, Terry’s Professional MBA Program ranked 35th in U.S. News’ part-time MBA ranking. Among public business schools, the PMBA ranked 22nd. All rankings appear in the 2023-2024 edition of U.S. News’ Best Graduate Schools, which was published April 25.
U.S. News’ full-time MBA ranking is based on surveys of 496 MBA programs accredited by AACSB International. The methodology includes placement success (50%), assessment of quality (25%) and student selectivity (25%). Terry’s Full-Time MBA Program had the seventh-highest employment rate among the top 50 business schools in the survey.
The part-time MBA ranking methodology is based on six factors: peer assessment (50%), standardized test scores (10 percent), percentage of MBA enrollment in the part-time program (12.5%), the total number of part-time students (12.5%), student undergraduate grade point average (10%) and number of years of work experience (5%). For its academic reputation among peers, Terry’s Professional MBA Program ranked in the top 10 among public business schools.
