Athens Academy was pleased to welcome Mr. Ken Chrzanowski to campus as part of the Spartan Speaker Series. Mr. Chrzanowski, who is the business development manager for Georgia United Credit Union, spoke to Upper School students on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, in the Chambers Center.

Mr. Chrzanowski educated the students about the importance of building and maintaining good credit. He also warned them about potential “spending leaks” in their budgets, including purchasing brand name items or spending excess money on coffees or unnecessary groceries.

As a certified credit union financial counselor, Mr. Chrzanowski combines his background in education, financial services and operations to help organizations empower their employees through financial literacy programs and ongoing support. Since joining Georgia United in 2014, he has led development and deployment of financial education seminars and counseled employees at the credit union’s 400-plus partner companies, Georgia state agencies, All Board of Regents Universities and Technical Colleges in Georgia, K-12 educational systems and the Archdiocese of Atlanta.

Mr. Chrzanowski is the eighth professional to present as part of the 2022-23 Spartan Speaker Series. Other participants have included real estate developer James Whitley; attorney/comedian Karen Morgan ‘82; mechanical engineer Philip Kendrick; Dr. Kelly Grow, gastroenterologist, and Dr. Parker Grow, cardiologist; attorney Patrick Garrard ‘00; and public relations professional Suzanne Rutledge.
