The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department invites the community to the inaugural "Flight of the Fireflies Lantern Parade" on Saturday, April 1, 2023 beginning at 8:00 p.m. Find out more information, including the four color-coded entry points detailed at  www.accgov.com/lanternparade 

Let’s light up the winding paths to Dudley Park! This parade is open to individuals, families, school, neighborhood groups, and organizations are all encouraged to participate.  Bring your lanterns, flashlights, your imagination, and join in the parade.  

Along the way and at the center of Dudley Park, participants with enjoy live music, fantastical performers, and large-scale illuminated puppets. On the night of the "Flight of the Fireflies Lantern Parade," each access point to Dudley Park will be color-coded and staffed with volunteers to help you find your way.  

Together we can create a fun, magical experience for the community that celebrates the recent Dudley Park renovations.

DIY lanterns are encouraged.   However, any portable light source powered by battery, solar or other flameless light is welcomed.
