On Thursday, December 8, the Athens Academy Upper School orchestra performed for patients and healthcare workers at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens. Student musicians from Athens Academy had traditionally performed this service concert for the local community for many years, up through December 2019.

“We were just so excited to finally be able to do this again after three long years,” said Orchestra and Fine Arts Director Debbie Schab. “The students loved having the opportunity to share some holiday cheer in the community.” Ms. Schab conducted the orchestra’s performance on Thursday.

The orchestra performed a variety of holiday favorites including the “The Carol of the Bells” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”
