Fortune Ranks UGA’s Executive MBA Program No. 6 Among Public Business Schools
Friday, November 11th, 2022
The Executive MBA program at the University of Georgia Terry College of Business was named one of the top 15 EMBA programs overall — and a top six public program nationwide — according to a new ranking by Fortune magazine.
Fortune ranked the Terry EMBA program No. 14 among EMBA programs in the United States and No. 6 among public business schools. It is the highest-ranked EMBA program in Georgia.
“The Terry EMBA program continues to prepare our graduates for prominent responsibilities and top job placement opportunities,” said Terry College Dean Ben Ayers. “Fortune’s focus on an executive MBA program’s impressive experience of students and brand awareness tracks with the quality program we have at the Terry College.”
Fortune ranked executive MBA programs based on a methodology that counts:
• Program score — factors such as average years of work experience, the average years of management experience, and percentage of students with an advanced degree.
• Brand score — what business professionals and hiring managers thought about specific business schools.
• Fortune 1000 score — number of each school’s MBA alumni who are executives.
“Fortune’s ranking recognizes the ongoing evolution of our program and student experience around business and industry trends in a highly competitive market,” said Susan Brown, director of Executive and Professional MBA programs at Terry College.
This is the second year that Fortune has ranked MBA programs. In other Fortune rankings released earlier this fall, the Full-Time MBA program at the Terry College ranked 14th among public MBA programs in the United States and 36th overall and Terry’s Professional MBA program ranked 27th among public programs and 44th overall.
Terry’s Executive MBA is an 18-month degree program geared toward mid- to senior-level professionals, with weekend classes taught at the Terry Executive Education Center in Buckhead.
