Green River Builders to Host Discovery Event at Watkinsville's Newest Community
Tuesday, June 7th, 2022
Green River Builders announced today that it will host a special “discovery” event at the site of its newest community, a 35-acre parklike enclave of 57 homesites thoughtfully named Trove. Located across the street from Colham Ferry Elementary School at 191 Colham Ferry Road in Watkinsville, the event will be open to the public from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 11. Attendees will be treated to free hot dogs, hamburgers and frozen treats from the Kona Ice truck. They will also have an opportunity to meet members of Green River Builders’ construction and sales teams, view the site plan and see Cottage renderings. Before they leave, attendees can either take home a Trove information packet or have one emailed to them.
“Trove will represent Green River Builders’ first ever community in Watkinsville,” said a spokesperson for Green River Builders. “With a solid presence in Dekalb, Douglas, Henry, Newton and Rockdale Counties, as well as Lake Oconee, we are genuinely excited to introduce this builder’s unique vision to homebuyers in the greater Athens area. Like all communities where Green River Builders has a presence, the placement of Trove was intentional and deeply researched, and we can’t wait to watch it evolve from this discovery event to a completed and vibrant community. What will make this gathering particularly special is that some of the people who join us on Saturday the 11th could become the founding homeowners in this community – witnessing firsthand its transformation from red clay to more than 50 beautiful Cottages and sidewalk-lined streetscapes.”
Defined as “a store of valuable or delightful things,” Trove has its sights set on being Watkinsville’s newest delightful place to call home. Crafted with the past and the future in mind, homes in Trove will combine classic Southern, historically-inspired designs with modern technology – ranging in size from 2600-2900 square feet with three to five bedrooms at price points starting in the low $600s. To promote the feeling of a tight-knit community, placement of each homesite is designed to frame the shared green spaces and pocket parks – which will collectively comprise 17.55 acres. With plans to make it a walkable community, Trove will feature pedestrian paths that connect the community to Downtown Watkinsville – just 1.3 miles away.
