Twenty7 Set to Enhance Member Experience at Traditions Golf & Country Club

Friday, December 10th, 2021

When the picturesque 18-hole Traditions golf course in Jackson County was purchased in 2020, the new owners had a vision that not only included improving course grounds, a professional golf and facilities staff and a new fleet of state-of-the-art golf carts, but also emphasized a heightened member experience. At the heart of that vision was a country club atmosphere, which called for a complete renovation of the clubhouse and a total reimagining of the club’s restaurant. The owners tapped local restaurateurs – Jack and Hollie Ansley – to become partners in the venture. 18 months and over $2 Million later, and their combined vision is about to become a reality. Twenty7 is set to open at Traditions Golf and Country Club (TGCC) mid-December 2021.

“It’s been a long time coming and we’re very excited to unveil this new restaurant concept at Traditions Golf and Country Club,” said Lee Botts, one of the club’s new owners. “From the menu to the ambiance, Twenty7 is perfectly aligned with our mission to provide a private club with a hometown feel. As local residents, Jim and I are fans of all the Ansley’s’ restaurant concepts – including Jack’s, Local Station and Jack’s Public House. From the quality and flavor of their food to the imagination that goes into their hand-crafted cocktails, we can see Twenty7 becoming a favorite destination among locals. In addition to our golf memberships, we offer incredibly affordable social memberships – which not only grant access to the new restaurant, but also to all our upcoming events that include holiday gatherings, game nights, football watch parties, live music and more.”

Dubbed Twenty7 for its placement alongside 27 holes featuring the established and scenic 18-hole golf course with a soon-to-be-completed 9-hole putting course, the newly reinterpreted private facility inside the Traditions’ clubhouse consists of two well-defined areas to accommodate country club members. The Social Members’ area includes a full-service bar, as well as inviting indoor and outdoor seating for up to 130 patrons. Golf Club Members gain access to The Champions Club, which features a second full bar, private dining room with seating for 90 guests, separate lounge area, and an exclusive rooftop bar offering one-of-a-kind views of the grounds. There will also be a separate takeout area with plans to one day introduce golf cart delivery to members’ homes within the adjoining community.

Atmosphere aside, Botts believes that what will really set Twenty7 apart is the food. Unlike most country club courses, the all-new concept is designed to be a fully operational restaurant providing full chef-driven breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Led by a proven foodservice dream team that pairs Jack and Hollie Ansley with veteran General Manager and accomplished chef, Brock Anderson, Twenty7 will provide something for everyone. The breakfast menu will feature an assortment of biscuits and standard morning favorites, while the lunch menu will showcase a variety of pizzas, sandwiches, burgers and salads. In keeping with Twenty7’s distinctive country club vibe, the dinner menu will feature a more robust offering of steaks, seafood and pasta dishes.

There are six levels of membership available at Traditions Golf and Country Club, including everything from the all-encompassing Elite and Legends Memberships to the more socially focused Social Memberships at just $29/month. All memberships come with a wealth of benefits – including access to the all-new Twenty7 restaurant. To learn more about becoming a member, prospective new members are encouraged to contact Casey Haney – Director of Memberships at 706-363-9963 or visit the TGCC website at www.traditionsgcc.com.
