New Movie Studio for Athens, Planned Industrial Park for Commerce

There was a Tuesday groundbreaking for what is planned as a 350 thousand square foot movie production studio that will go up on 45 acres off Athena Drive in Athens. Plans call for two years of construction, with movie making that could begin in 2024.
Developers are laying out plans for a sprawling new industrial park that would go up in Banks County, one that would cover more than 550 acres off I-85 near Commerce.
