James-Bates-Brannan-Groover-LLP, a full-service law firm with offices in Macon, Atlanta, and Athens announces the addition of attorney Will Bennett to the firm’s Tax and Wealth Planning practice group.

Will Bennett focuses his legal practice on tax and wealth planning. He assists clients with estate planning matters, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Advance Directives in Healthcare. In addition, Will focuses on tax controversy, from audit defense through litigation. He also advises clients on corporate matters such as entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, and governance issues.

Originally from Statesboro, Georgia, Will graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Avian Biology before earning his Juris Doctor from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. While at Mercer, he was a member of the Mercer Law Review, ABA Moot Court team, and the W. Homer Drake, Jr. Bankruptcy Inn of Court. Will continued his education at New York University School of Law where he obtained an LL.M. in Taxation.
