Bus drivers and students in Meriwether County schools are feeling much safer now that the school board has voted to install devices that reduce up to 99.96% of harmful viruses in the air and on surfaces, including SARS-CoV-2.

"We were at risk of losing bus drivers due to fear of COVID," said Meriwether Superintendent Dr. Robert Griffin. "Now we can load, travel, and unload our buses knowing the air and surfaces are disinfected."

The school board took the innovative step of purchasing 113 CASPR transit units from BioShark, an Atlanta-based company.
