Columbia County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is excited to host a Public Safety and Preparedness Fair on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Evans Towne Center Park (7016 Evans Town Center Boulevard, Evans GA) from 9 AM until 3 PM.

This event, which is free and open to the public, will feature your local EMA, Fire Rescue, Sheriff’s Office, and other county departments. Patrons will be able to get a look inside emergency response vehicles, dive team boats, the fire safety house, HAZMAT trucks and experience the Civil Air Patrol Simulator. Columbia County Sheriff’s Office will be offering Child I.D. and have a K-9 demonstration on site.

“The Public Safety and Preparedness Fair is a great opportunity for all of us to learn more about protecting our families, ourselves and our property,” said Shawn Granato, Director of Columbia County EMA. “We appreciate the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Fire Rescue and other County agencies working together to organize this event to increase the public’s knowledge about the many ways we can help protect our community.”

The event will also feature water slides, food trucks, and a giant swing. Live music starts at 10am and Whiskey Run will be performing on stage beginning at 1 PM.
