Barberitos, an award-winning fast-casual Southwestern Grille and Cantina with 51 locations across the Southeast, is excited to announce the opening of its newest location in Athens, Ga. on Tuesday, June 1. The grand-opening celebration will include giveaways and a visit from Pepe, the chain’s mascot. Located at 1180 Prince Ave., the restaurant will offer farm-fresh food for customers seeking a healthy and flavorful quick-service option for lunch and dinner.

Since the restaurant is located across from Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, Barberitos will offer discounts and meal opportunities for medical staff on select dates. During the pandemic, Barberitos donated food to feed healthcare professionals at Piedmont Athens and St. Mary’s Health System.

Barberitos is a Southwestern Grille dedicated to serving farm-fresh, high-quality food in a fast-casual restaurant environment. Many of the restaurants’ menu items are prepared or cooked in-house daily, including hand-smashed guacamole, homemade salsas, fresh-cut vegetables as well as chicken, steak, ground turkey, pork, tofu, rice and beans.

As the chain’s eighth Athens location, the new restaurant will be the most technologically advanced Barberitos that will include digital menu boards.
