BankSouth is pleased to announce the promotion of Eric Fletcher as market president of our Watkinsville office. Since joining BankSouth in 2014, Fletcher has served as relationship manager for the Watkinsville and Athens areas.

After college, he began his career in community banking in a management training program and has continued to work in commercial lending and relationship management roles throughout his banking career.

He is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He currently serves on the board of directors of St. Mary’s Highland Hills Village, the  Advocate Board of Extra Special People (ESP), and is a graduate of Lead Athens.

Fletcher is married to Dr. Rebecca Fletcher, an OB/GYN in Athens, and they are the proud parents of a daughter, Talia.
