'We Need to Make this Money Count': Athens-Clarke Mayor on $60 Million in Federal Aid

Athens-Clarke County expects to receive $30 million in the next 60 days as part one of a two-part allotment from the American Rescue Plan.
The local government has been allocated $60 million from the plan, the third package of federal stimulus aid. The second $30 million allotment is expected within a year, according to Mayor Kelly Girtz.
